The Germiston Wheelers Cycle Club, established in 1984 by Graham Steyn and Colin Barret, is situated at Germiston Lake and has been in existence for more than twenty years!

Rides
The club organises rides six days a week, departing from a number of areas. There are designated ride coordinators to ensure that the various training distances are catered for and that no rider, however inexperienced is left behind.

Charity work
The club arranges an annual cycle tour to Durban, running over four days, with proceeds raised being donated to various charities.

Furthermore, Germiston Wheelers, along with the Germiston Rotary Club, organise the annual Carnival City Macsteel National Classic Cycle Race, with proceeds also going to numerous charities in the Germiston area.

Racing
The Contract Germiston Racing Team is the licensed riders section and it caters for the more serious cyclist.  The team has won several races over the past years.
